New Patient Consultation and Exam
The new patient consultation and chiropractic exam are the beginning of your journey towards a life of better health. And the entire visit is all about you.
Our time together begins with the consultation which will allow you to describe your current state of health, any concerns you may have, and any challenges you are struggling with right now. There are specific details about your current and past condition that will guide us as we dig deeper into the specific cause of your problem.
Often times the consultation will lead us to an examination of your spinal column and nervous system. We start by simply checking your spine for any indication of nerve irritation. It's a very important step because this nerve irritation is very often the root cause for many of the most common conditions we all see everyday. If nerve irritation is discovered, we will dig yet a little deeper by performing a series specific exams to better determine the cause of your ill health.
Some people require a spinal x-ray as part of their exam if indicators of spinal changes are found. If it does appear that your spine is affecting your ability to function and be healthy, we may then take the necessary pictures of your spine with our in house x-ray equipment. This will capture a couple of very important details about your health. First, it will verify the problem is in fact something we can help you safely correct in this office. It also shows the specific condition of your spine giving a clear indication of precisely how to adjust you back to health.
We will then review all your information from the consultation, the chiropractic exam, and any spinal x-rays taken specific to your case. All this information will help us find the best course of action for you to improve your well being. If we do confirm subluxation in your case, it means we can help you and we'd be happy to accept you as a patient. We will then give you our best recommendations for care at that point. We look forward to helping you start this journey back towards better health and a more fulfilling life.
